In an explosive display, virtual-world terrorists now mirror the havoc of the real one as The Second Life Liberation Army launches a bombing campaign in Second Life.

People controlling animated avatar members of the self-proclaimed Second Life Liberation Army (SLLA) have set off computer-code versions of atomic bombs at virtual world stores in the past six months -- with their own manifesto.

The SLLA claims to be an "in-world military wing of a national liberation movement" devoted to replacing the rule of Second Life creator Linden Labs with a democracy representing the nearly four million virtual residents.

"As Linden Labs is functioning as an authoritarian government the only appropriate response is to fight," the SLLA.

I visited the SLLAs site to find out more

The SLLA's demands are simple:

The establishment of basic political 'rights' for avatars.

Campaign:

The SLLA will not seek to harm the normal operation of the world and will only attack agents of Linden Labs and other strategically important sites within Second Life.

Contact:

If you would like to help the SLLA or find out more about our organization use SecondLLA@gmail.com to contact us.

Our President in Second Life is Marshal Cahill - if you wish to donate to the cause of Second Life freedom direct payments to him or if you have any questions IM him within Second Life.
Our Political Officer is Keksakallu Klata who can also be contacted via IM within Second Life.

Well there you have it.  How long before there is a SLCIA - Second Life Central Intelligence Agency?  Perhaps it already exists with Linden Secret Agents and everything.
