A group of teenage friends keep in touch with each other and tell the world about their lives by posting regular video blogs. It started in June 2006 and since then it seems half the world has become enchanted by Lonelygirl15 the YouTube username for Bree.
However it seems Bree is not a real person but is played by the New Zealand actress Jessica Rose. In fact the whole thing is a web based fictional video serial. Each character posts video blogs on YouTube as if they were real people and the story rambles on like a little soap. And who are the sinister Order?
If you want to watch as the story unfolds go to iTunes put Lonelygirl15 into the search engine and when it appears click Subscribe. It will then be in your podcasts with a list of episodes, click GET for all the ones you want.
Alernatively put Lonelygirl15 into Google and it will find the website. You can watch the videos from there but they will often pause for the streaming to catch up.
They get 25,000 visits per day and post five episodes a week. They have 1.5 million viewers a week.
I'm hooked.
