The Silver IT Club Founder

Terry Robson, Founder and Editor

Terry has had a long and varied career.  He has been a teacher and a businessman.

He became an IT lecturer in 1995 at Gloucester College of Arts and Technology and then for Hartpury College.

He has learned his craft with older students coming into college for short courses.  As head of short courses at Hartpury College he wrote most of his own training manuals

Most of his classroom experience is with older learners.  For four years he worked on a special project taking training to the workplace often to the lone self-employed in their homes.

This is where he learned about the great gap between the training people want and what is provided.  In fact he learned that older they don’t really think in terms of training but more of making use of their machines for specific tasks.

Terry is the founder of the Silver IT Club. He understands the needs of the older home computer user and believes that their training needs have always been neglected.

He is married and the father of three grown up children and lives in Gloucester.

One of the spurs to starting the Silver IT Club was that his son works for SubHub, a Cardiff based company that promotes and supports Internet subscription sites.

So join today to benefit from Terrys long experience.
